God Prepared Today, Be Thankful

Ever given a thought about how God has prepared this day for us? Since, this is true, why are we surprised by the events that take place? Or maybe I am being presumptuous thinking you might get surprised. How about the thought that He waits to see what will be our first focus and thoughts. Who or what do we turn to, Him, or our cell, computer, coffee or read our Bible. How guilty we are about limiting our vfiew and knowledge of the Creator, Most High God, and merciful and loving God. According to His Word, we are in His presence when we come before with our thanksgiving (Psalm 95:2; Psalm 118:24). But consider, Zephaniah 3:17, where we see our Lord as a victorious warrior. Do we fight our own battles? Why, waste that energy? He is far more capable than we. All we are required to do according to this Scripture is to stay in His presence. We do this by by praying, thinking, loving and looking for Him in our midst. He exalts over us with joy, just as we exalt ove our loved ones. His love is quiet yet He rejoices over us wth "shouts" of joy. When was the last time you or I shouted with joy over who He is? In His Presence there is light, glory, and Himself. Practice His Presence consistently, for He goes with us whever we go. Even when our enemies are near, He is Present. How ought this truth change us, and our thoughts, emotions, and actions. All negative thoughts and emotions melt away when we are in His Presence. Ever thought how different those daily chores and duties could be a completely different experience if we practiced standing in His Presence rather than just walking in our flesh? Walk with spiritual understanding; finish strong! Call on Him, and ask for His help in learning to rest in His Presence. He still calls us to come; let us obey. Come and find rest, refreshment and be filled out of His abundace.
